Dhurba my guide was a great companion during the trek as he was sharing stories and explaining me stuff i was interested in , he also recommended me the foods and the drinks i should try.
Plus the hotel i was staying in on my arrival day and departure day was great, as it was nice to relax before and after the trek. All together everyone was super friendly and helpful , so it really was very easy for me cause everything went super smooth . I have absolutely nothing to complain about and i recommend this activity to everyone who wants to enjoy the nature, explore the Nepali culture and just have a good workout .

We were met by a NHT member at the airport who brought us to the hotel where Balaram, the company partner/owner was waiting upon our arrival. We went straight into a meeting on every step of our itinerary and he made sure we had all equipment necessary.

Our guide, Deepak Dhakal and porter, Santosh Koirala were exceptional throughout the entire trip. Their level of service, local knowledge and friendliness was unparalleled. I must add that Deepak’s higher level of English was extremely helpful and Santosh’s enthusiasm to communicate and learn English with us was awesome.

Our conversations together, all the laughs and picking each other up when it was needed are aspects of this trip I’ll always remember. Saying goodbye was like bidding farewell to old friends by the end of it all.

Contact and communication from the initial... read more enquiry through to booking and during our 3 weeks trip was exceptional. Nothing was too much bother for this company. We changed our plans during the trip to get a helicopter back from Gorak Shep which was organised by our fabulous guide Prokash and Ganja. Additional days in a hotel in Pokhara were also booked for us. We were met at the airport and dropped off by Ganja and his Balaram on different occasions, it felt like a very personal service. Our guide Prokash was amazing, he speaks excellent English and has a very good sense of humour. Prokash was always courteous and attentive to our needs, he was very very good company and took some fantastic photos for me. We were very lucky to have him as our guide. We missed him once we completed our trek and left to continue our holiday in Pokhara. We also had the pleasure of meeting Prokashs's brother Arrun another fantastic guide and a really lovely person. Both Prokash and Arrun are exceptional guides and if you are booking with Nepal Hiking Team make sure to ask for them.
We booked the Luxury Everest Base camp trek and added days in Pokhara and a 3 day safari in Chitwan. We felt we were able to gain a thorough understanding of the Nepalese culture and way of life. It was a wonderful and challenging experience. It hasn't actually sunk in yet that we have been to Everest Base Camp!!
My initial concerns about using a treking company based in Nepal were completely unfounded. When we return to Nepal we will have no hesitation in booking with NHT again and specifically ask for Prokash to be our guide. I am already considering the Annapurna trek.
Overall this was an outstanding and amazing experience. I must also add that our porter Kisman was also brilliant. Although he spoke very little English he always said good morning, he was always happy and smiling. I was extremely grateful to him for carrying our trekking bags.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company and I cannot praise them highly enough. Everything about this trip was fantastic.

I got sick one of the days on our trek and he went above and beyond to facilitate a request I made that had never been done before. Not only did he organize our base camp trek, but he organized our Kathmandu tour with an amazing guide name Kumar who was so knowledgeable and so informative. We could feel his passion for all of the knowledge he taught us. Ganga also arranged a 5 star tour to Chitwan that was better than anything we could have ever imagined. Ganga went above and beyond and met our expectations and surpassed everything we could have expected. In addition to our amazing adventure in Nepal, I would highly recommend our guide and porter from Nepal Hiking Team. Surya our guide while hiking to Everest Base Camp was AMAZING. He was so patient, kind, and helpful throughout the trek. I would not have made it to the top without his assistance and encouragement. I am a slow hiker and he was so patient with me and helped me in everyway. If you are going to be climbing please request Surya you will not be disappointed. I cannot express how much Surya made our trek and when I go back to Nepal, I will be requesting him again. Our porter we used was named Kadar and he was also incredible. You cannot go wrong with using Nepal Hiking Team. I 100% would recommend them for anyone wanting to go to Nepal. They can accommodate any budget and will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your experience. I have traveled all over the world and used various tour agencies and this is by far the best agency I have ever used.
