Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in center of India, New- Delhi
Maximum Altitude: New- Delhi (216m)
Once you’re at the airport in New Delhi, our co-workers will pick you up at the arrival section. We will move to the typical hotel in New Delhi. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Leh (3,500 m).
Maximum Altitude: Leh (3,500 m)
Flight duration: 1-2 hours
We hope you had a good sleep in the hotel in New Delhi. After an energizing breakfast, we will leave for an early flight to Leh. It is our starting point for the trek of Ladakh with Markha Valley Trek.
Day 03: Free Day for Acclimatization and Sightseeing in Leh.
Maximum Altitude: Leh (3,500 m)
We are resting from all the trouble of the previous days. You could walk around and prepare yourself for the upcoming trek. Enjoy every second in Leh. And make sure you give your body enough rest so that you won’t have a hard time walking on trails.
Day 04: Sightseeing in and around Leh by Tourist Vehicle.
Maximum Altitude: Leh (3,500 m)
Sightseeing duration: 3-4 hours
Today we will be sightseeing the local surroundings of Leh and exploring new places. The locals are friendly. You will get to spend your whole day sightseeing, or you could purchase some equipment and trekking gear to support the local economy. Make sure you enjoy the typical Indian dishes. Have a great experience in Leh.
Day 05: A fun drive to Zingchen (3,400 m) and a Scenic hike to Yurutse (3,53 0m)
Maximum Altitude: Yurutse (3,53 0m)
Trek duration: 5 to 6 hours.
Today, after having an energizing breakfast early in the morning, we will depart for Zingchen. It is an hour’s drive away. We will lead toward Spituk Gompa, which is believed to be five centuries old. After attending Spituk, we will commence our trek and passing a bridge and strolling southwest of the Indus River, we will arrive at Zingchen Village.
After reaching Zingchen village, we will be hiking to Yurutse. The trail is moderate in nature. After entering Yurutse, we will spend our night there.
Day 06: A walk to Skiu (3,400 m) via Kanda La Pass (4,985 m)
Maximum Altitude: Kanda La Pass (4,985 m)
Trek duration: 6 to 7 hours
Our trek today will begin with a tasty breakfast. Then, we will proceed to beautiful Skiu by crossing Reach Ganda La (4900 meters). The pass allows a magnificent panorama of the Zanskar Range and other mountains of the Himalayas. From Ganda La Pass is a lengthy decline to the settlement of Shingo.
The route then leads to a ravine from Shingo Village and then reaches Skiu. At Skiu, we will witness the junction of the river from the stunning Markha Valley.
Day 07: A Trek to Markha Valley(3,800 m)
Maximum Altitude: Markha (3,800 m)
Trek duration: 6 to 7 hours.
Our trek today will begin with a tasty breakfast. We believe you will have a good time in Skiu. A simple hike from Skiu will guide us to Markha Valley. The hiking tracks pass through several streams. We will cross the beautiful streams, and pass through lush forests. Today we will spend our night in Markha Valley.
Day 08: A scenic trek to Thachungtse (3,589 m)
Maximum Altitude: Thachungtse (3,589 m)
Trek duration: 4 to 5 hours.
After having a delicious morning meal, we will head for Thachungtse as our final destination. Today the trail we are following is very barren and dry, with no green vegetation around. It is the arid region where rainfall is very minimum. We will be passing through the stream and come over Hankar en route to Thachungtse. The Hankar is the highest settlement in Markha Valley. We will be staying in Thachungtse.
Day 09: A tiring trek to Nimaling (4,700 m)
Maximum Altitude: Nimaling (4,700 m)
Trek duration: 3 to 4 hours.
After having a delicious morning meal, we will head for Thachungtse as our final destination. We will be passing several easy inclines and a series of smooth elevations. You will enjoy our hike.
There is a series of Mani Walls and Chorten on the trails. It is recognized as one of the most charming high meadows in Ladakh and is differentiated by Kangyatse Peak.
Day 10: Trek to Shang Sumdo via Kangamaru La Pass (5,150 m) and a scenic drive to Leh
Maximum Altitude: Kangamaru La Pass (5,150 m)
Trek duration: 5-6 hours (trek) and 1 hour (drive)
After the yummy breakfast, we will pass to the north of Markha, and then we will rise to Kongmaru La (5306 meters). It is the highest pass in the region. After trekking to the pass, we will witness the amazing panorama of a different range of Indo-Himalayas. After reaching Leh, we will arrive at Leh, where you could rest. Make sure you enjoy the facilities of Leh and have the time of your life.
Day 11: A scenic early flight from Leh to Delhi
Maximum Altitude: Leh (3,500 m)
Flight duration: 1- 2 hours
We will have an early flight from Leh to New Delhi. On this short domestic flight, you could observe the glowing Himalayas again. Enjoy your awake time in the comfy hotels of New Delhi. It has loads of exciting places to visit. Enjoy the luxuries that New Delhi has. You could do some relaxing kinds of stuff like a sauna, a relaxing bath.
Day 12: Departure from Delhi to Next Destination.
Enjoy your last day in India. We hope you had majestic memories with us. At the time of the flight, our people will drop you at the airport. Have a great flight, and choose us if you want to revisit India.
