The Nepal Hiking Team were incredible from the moment we landed in Kathmandu. We had a fantastic couple of days in Kathmandu and were taken on a full day tour of 3 historically and culturally important areas by our great guide, Ramesh. After settling into Nepal, we headed off to Lukla to start our trek and met Paban, our trekking guide who was the best guide we could have hoped for! From the first day, he always made sure we got the most out of our days and experienced everything in the best possible light, he also kept us calm and made sure we feeling good but also never freaked out if we did experience normal symptoms from ascending in altitude! We made it through the incredibly scenic three passes, base camp, Chukkung Ri, Kalapattar and Gokyo Ri, and will take home so many amazing memories of Nepal and its people. We can't thank Paban enough for his guidance and friendship, and also Ganga for answering and meeting all of our questions along the journey. We highly recommend NHT for a locally based tour company and would use them on our next adventure in Nepal!

Every element of the trip was excellently organised, many thanks to Ganga, who was also incredibly responsive to any queries we had throughout. As our two team members on the trek, Gokul our guide and Sudeep our porter did an outstanding job and we cannot thank them enough for the effort they put into our tour, without them our trip most certainly would not have been the same.

Not only was Gokul rich in knowledge about Nepal, he was also a brilliant leader and we enjoyed his company enormously. Sudeep did an outstanding job carrying our bags and was so much fun to be around. However, we would recommend for any future trekkers that you take the absolute minimum with you. Above all we cannot fault our trek or NHT and would highly recommend them for anyone looking to go walking in the Himalayas!!

Our guide, Ishwor Subedi, recognized us at once when we arrived in the small Pokhara airport as Nepal Hiking Team agency had previously sent a photo from us. He was very helpul from the beginning to the end with wise advice on the comparative advantages of the guesthouses on the way...He also has a sense of humor, which has allowed us to do the long walks more easily.

Ganga, who manages Nepal Hiking Team with his brother, provided a good package deal, including 2 nights in Woodapple Tree and Spa Hotel in Kathmandu.

And he will happily do whatever he can to make your journey better, and he also likes playing card games! Porters we got was excellent and did more than we could expect them to do. Hotels in Kathmandu and guesthouses along the trek were also above expectations, meals great too - but try to stick to the local food options, as western options might disappoint you. All meals and tea/coffee included during the trek. If you look at all the inclusions, quality of staff and guesthouses, I don't think any other hiking/travelling company can match Nepal Hiking Team. We did EBC + chola pass + gokyo package. Highly recommended!
