One Day Patan Bhaktapur Sightseeing Introduction
Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur is a short and sweet hike towards the art city and ancient town of Nepal which allows you to stumble on the devout shrines and treasuries temples.
Both Durbar Square allows you to discover three medieval Kingdoms that are Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. Both of these cities are ancient royal places that have been listed as UNESCO world heritage sites. Patan and Bhaktapur are traditional Newari towns that are located 12km east of Kathmandu. It is believed that the temples of Bhaktapur Durbar Square were built by King Jitamitra Malla in 1696 A.D. This ancient Royal Palace was once ruled by the great Mallas in the 15th century. One-day tour of this place will allow you to explore the rich art, culture, tradition, norms, and values of the ancient history of Nepal.
You will have a chance to explore prehistoric temples, museums, traditionally built Newari homes, wooden and stone architecture, old places, shops of ancient accessories and jewelers, and many more. Despite this modernization era, these places have still not been affected by it. We can still witness people living in their traditional habitats with cobbled streets free of traffic jams. This place has lots of things to offer.
You can witness craftsmen building their traditional and centuries-old arts of potters, wooden carvings, metal, and stone carvings. Every year thousands of tourists visit these places to explore and experience the city of divine lives. You will notice a lot of Pagodas, taps, ponds, and Buddhist cloisters. When you tour this area during the festive season and if you are lucky enough, you will be blessed to have a look at Kumari (Living Goddess of Nepal).
