Ruby Valley Trek Introduction
An unexplored beauty among the Himalayas, Ruby Valley Trek provides scenic elegance and cultural and traditional virtue. Lying between Langtang National Park and Manaslu Conservation Area, this is marvelous with its landscape. Buddhist monasteries, Hindu temples, and the snow-capped mountains are the fantastic opportunity this trail offers you.
The beauty of the course with a glimpse of the tremendous Annapurna range, and Langtang range makes this trail excellent for travelers through one of the most distinct views of the Himalayas. It is the least explored hidden trekking trail situated in the Ganesh Himal region of Nepal.
The Ganesh Himal region has deposited a gem named ruby, so it forms its name. It has deposited minerals within it, the precious red stone. The trekking trail takes 12days that makes you travel through the villages of Gurung and Tamang settlements, a unique ethnic group known for their unique culture and rich traditions.
The Ruby Valley Trek trail features a variety of terrain, including terraced farms, gradual and steep climbs, and breathtaking scenery of lush green forest and high snow-capped mountains.
During this trip, you can view Ganesh Himal( the mountain named after the elephant-headed god Ganesh), Langtang Lirung, Boudha Himal, as well as pristine mountains of western and central Nepal. The major attraction of the Ruby Valley Trek is the Pangsang Pass which is situated at the Altitude of 3,850m.
This unexplored trail provides you the opportunity to explore remote areas in Nepal. As this is a new trekking trail in Nepal, lodges, and guesthouses have not been fully developed, so homestay is the only mode of accommodation but have trust you will gain a lot of experience.

Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1:- Arrival in Kathmandu( the city of temples) 1,330m
As soon as you arrive at the International airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative. After having a rest for a while, we will be discussing the trek in detail. You can have typical Nepali food in restaurants, but we can organize a welcome dinner at the traditional Nepali family as per your interest.
DAY 2:- Sightseeing at Kathmandu
Our day started with a cup of chai (tea), and we will be waiting at the hotel’s gate. We will go to several historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu, including world heritage sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, and the renowned Swayambhunath, which is also called ‘Monkey Temple’ and Boudhanath stupa (Baudha Nath). We will enjoy and spend our night and have an early sleep for tomorrow morning.
DAY 3:-Drive to Syabru Besi (1600m) 7- 8hrs.
Early in the morning, having our breakfast, we will drive from Kathmandu to SyabruBesi. This journey will provide you with a panoramic view of the Mountains, beautiful river gorges and waterfalls, and scenic terraced fields, where local citizens are plowing the field and working. You can feel the real Nepal.
DAY 4:-Trek to Gatlang (2337m) 5-6 hrs.
We’ll start our journey after breakfast. With our trekking team, we will continue following the zig-zag uphill, which leads us to our new destination Gaatlang. After reaching there, we will be able to explore the Tamang settlement. Here you can exchange the norm and values between two nationalities, which will make you feel more comfortable and help you gain knowledge about our culture.
DAY 5:-Trek to Somdang (3271m) 5-6 hrs.
We’ll start our journey after breakfast to Somdang. We will cross the forest of rhododendron and pine, leaving Gatlang behind. Traveling various up and down, we will come down to the Somdang river (border of Rasuwaa and Dhading district) and spend our night there.
DAY 6:- Trek to Tipling via Pangsang pass (3842m) 7-8 hrs.
We’ll start our journey after breakfast. We will be reaching the highest point of the trek, i.e., Pangsang pass, from where you can enjoy the incredible views of Manaslu peak and other Ganesh Himal ranges, which is the most precious part of this trip. If you are interested, we can set up a camp and enjoy our night ending our day where we created many memories.
DAY 7:- Acclimatization/ Rest day
Today we can explore the local area of Tipling as per our wants. After having breakfast, we can start our day or rest and do sightseeing in the evening. Yesterday we had a long walk. You will find this day very tiring, but while exploring this place, you won’t feel that tired as the natural beauty and the hospitable Nepalese will create an environment of home away from home.
DAY 8:- Trek to Chalish (1900m) via Sertung. 4-5 hrs.
We’ll start our journey after breakfast. Today we will descend to cross Adha Khola and ascend to Shertung (place of gold), a Tamang village. Tamang is considered a unique culture among the Nepalese inhabitants. Here we can spend some quality time interacting with locals and after various ups and down we will reach Seating. We will spend our night here creating a lot of memories.
DAY 9:- Trek to Darkha Gaun (850m) via Borang. 5-6hrs.
We’ll start our journey after breakfast toward Borang. We will cross the small forest continuing through and entering the Darkha Gaon. Our trip day is going to finish, but the memories created during this trip will last forever. This trip comes under an unexplored destination, but when you explore, you will not regret it. Tomorrow we will be moving to Kathmandu (busiest city) so make sure you enjoy every moment.
DAY 10:-Trek to Darkha Phedi and return drive to Kathmandu via Dhading besi.7 hrs. drive
We will start our trip after having our breakfast toward Darkha Phedi. You will trek various up and down, so make sure you take the last glimpse of the last moment. As soon as we reach Dark Phedi, a bus will be waiting for us, and we will drive back to the busiest city Kathmandu. It will take around 7 hrs. Drive to reach Kathmandu.
DAY 11:- Departure
Time to say see you soon, Nepal. Hope to meet you soon. Our representative will be there for 3 hours, depending on your flight time. Before you get stuck in traffic, we hope you enjoyed our journey.
