Nagarkot is a beautiful village located in central Nepal which is 27.8km away from Kathmandu Valley. It takes half an hour to drive to reach Nagarkot from Kathmandu. Nagarkot is very much famous among domestic tourists as well as international tourists due to its views surrounded by the Himalayas including Mt.Everest to the Northeast.

Detailed Itinerary
04:00hrs: Pickup from your hotel
Our guide along with the driver will come to pick you up as early as they can. From Kathmandu, we will depart and drive for half an hour to reach Nagarkot. You can enjoy the view of the Hills and Mountains with the beautiful landscape during your short journey to Nagarkot.
06:00hrs: Reach Nagarkot and relish Sunrise view
After we reach the top of Nagarkot Hill station, we will wait for the sunrise. After some minutes we will be blessed with the view of sunrise through the peaks of the Mountains and Himalayas of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Gaurisanker, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal, and Numbur.
This place is peaceful and offers you a serene environment. You can take amazing pictures and create memories in this place.
08:00hrs: Have to breakfast
We will hike down and come to a restaurant to have breakfast with a view. We will have Nepali breakfast with the view of the Mountains and rays of the sun within our bodies. After breakfast, we will take a rest for some time.
09:30hrs: Explore and enjoy Nagarkot Valley
Now, we will visit the nearby Nagarkot Village. We will walk through the beautiful forest of Pines, Oaks, and Rhododendrons. We will also explore some local communities and interact with them. We will pass through several farmlands and terraces. We will stop in a peaceful environment to have lunch and take a rest.
12:00hrs: Have lunch
We will have authentic Nepali food as our lunch at a local restaurant.
1:00hrs: Hike to Changunarayan Temple
After having lunch, we will further move forward to Reach Changunarayn Temple a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will walk through some local Newari settlements where the homes and temples are made with the touch of traditional norms and values. You will notice this place has still not been touched by modernization.
We will reach Changunarayan temple which is a unique ancient Temple of the Lichhavi period and is regarded as one of the oldest temples in Nepal. We will further explore this area and visit the local shops. You can also buy souvenirs to keep as a part of your memory from the Nagarkot Trip.
4:00hrs: Drive back to Kathmandu
After we visit the temple and it’s surrounding our vehicle will come to pick you up from the Changunarayna area. We will drive back to Kathmandu and we will drop you off at your hotel. After a long day of hiking and waking up early, you must be tired. Have rest and recollect your memory of today.
