Mardi Himal Trek Introduction

Mardi Himal Trek is located in the east part of Nepal and is considered the most legendary trekking destination which is commonly known as an Eco-Tourism trial.

For trekking lovers, the Mardi Himal trek is an unseen gem. Only a few trekkers make their trip to the Mardi Himal Base Camp those who don’t want to miss the outstandingly positioned Mardi Himal and the Annapurna region´s most iconic mount Machapuchhre (Fishtail).
This trek takes you along small winding paths, through rhododendron forests (the national flower of Nepal which grows at an altitude of 3,300 meters).

The land structure of Nepal is so amazing that you can view Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, and Annapurna. this trekking route was officially opened in 2012 and still getting the same charm. Mardi Himal trek with the excellent hill and mountain landscape; and marvel at the panoramic views of the massive Himalayan mountains including Annapurna, Machhapuchre, Hiunchuli, and Mardi Himal.

Through the route, you will be facilitated by the teahouse and guest houses. This route also provides you with a homely environment with hospitable people.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,330 m)

As soon as you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport(TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel. After some refreshments, you will be given a piece of brief information about the trip. You can enjoy the typical Nepali food in a restaurant anywhere in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive To Pokhara (930 m)(6-7 hrs)

After having our breakfast we will begin our drive towards Pokhara a city of lakes.
The drive will take about 6-7 hours where we follow the Trishuli River which is also followed by another river, the Marshyangdi River. During the trip, we will be crossing many local settlements and finally reach Pokhara. or you can take sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and take a flight in the afternoon to reach Pokhara (35 mins) and enjoy sightseeing in Pokhara as well.

Day 03: Drive to Hyangja and Trek to Dhampus (1,750 m)(4-5 hrs)

The first day of our Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek begins, our day starts with a drive to Hyangja,(30 mins) from where we set on a trail towards Dhampus(4-5hrs.).
Trekking through the gentle path we will climb the ridge above the Yangri Khola valley and trek through fields and houses of local people which will offer great experiences trekking. The glimpse of the Annapurna Himalayan Range is breathtaking from Dhampus.
We will spend our night there.

Day 04: From Dhampus Trek Toward Forest Camp (2,550 m)(4-5 hrs.)

Early in the morning, the rising sun gives an extraordinary view of Snow-capped mountains when stroke with its rays.
When the sun rises over Annapurna I, Machhapuchre (Fish Tail), Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and many more peaks we can witness this precious moment and gain a lifetime memory. We will then move towards Forest Camp where we will trek through the captivated forest of Rhododendron(national flower of Nepal ), maple, mountain oak, and daphnia.

Day 05: Forest Camp to Low Camp (3,400 m)(4-5hrs.)

After having our breakfast we will continue our trek towards the Low Camp.

We will reach Low Camp in the afternoon after 4-5 hrs of the walk there we will be spending the night. We will have spectacular views of the ever-closer Machhapuchre (Fishtail).

We will spend our night at Low Camp with a lot of fun.

Day 06: Low Camp to High Camp (4,100 m)(4-5 hrs.)

After having our breakfast we will start our trip for the date, today’s first part is a short, steep climb that takes us out of the forest that leads us to High Camp. Today is also our acclimatizing day where we will be at an altitude of 4,100 m. From here great views of the Himalayas are seen.
We will spend our night here.

Day 07: Excursion to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 m)(7-8 hrs.)

Most awaited day of the trip.
Today we will catch the sunrise over the Himalayas which turns snow into gold when the first rays of the sunstroke the mountains. After having our breakfast we will hike up to Mardi Himal Base Camp. After 2- 3 hours, we will reach the camp where we will have the opportunity to have a panoramic view of the Annapurna Himalaya range. We will return to Camp after spending some time at the Mardi Base Camp.
We will spend our night in the tea house

Day 08: High Camp to Siding Village (1,750 m)(6-7 hrs.)

After having our breakfast we will retrace our footsteps and head toward Siding village descending 2,750m in altitude. We will take a different route to return. We make our way through the banks of the Mardi Khola. It would take around 06-07 hrs.
We will spend our night in a teahouse.

Day 09: Siding Village To Luwang village (1500 m)(5-6 hrs.)

After your breakfast is a witness the magnificent view of Machhapuchre(Fishtail), we will head in the direction of Luwang village where we will be staying with a local family experiencing their lifestyle. In the evening we will hike up to Luwang Tea Garden and return to Luwang village and stay overnight there.

Day 10: Luwang village Trek to Hyangja and drive to Pokhara (930 m)(3-4 hrs)

After having our breakfast at Luwang we will start our trekking to Hyangja passing through Khormukh. We will descend to Khormukh from where the trail is much wider till Hyangja from where we drive toward Pokhara(30 mins)

Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu (1,330 m)

After having our breakfast we will fly back to Kathmandu and in the afternoon we will sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Fly back home (1,330 m)

Time to say see you soon Nepal with a lot of memories. Our representative will drop you at the airport according to your flight time.
