Langtang Valley Trek Introduction

Langtang Valley trek is one of the most beautiful treks of Nepal and is much famous among domestic tourists. It is located in a remote place that has still not been discovered by many international tourists. Langtang Valley is the closest place to Kathmandu Valley which is 19miles away from the North.
Trekking in this valley offers you the most beautiful views of the mountains, Himalayas, Glaciers, and beautiful landscapes. During your trek, you will be mesmerized to explore the trail covered with alluring forests, flowers, wildlife, birds, and many more.
Langtang is inferred as the “Valley of Glaciers”. This trek also offers stunning views of the Himalayas i.e. Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Langshisha Ri, Yala peak, Gangchempu, Ganja-La range, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar, and various other snow-capped peaks around the region. The natural vegetation, flora, and fauna are conserved under Langtang National park which expands to the temptation of the valley.
The Langtang region is occupied primarily by the Tamangs and Sherpas, the culture is relatively identical to those of Tibetans. The gorgeous valley contains many monasteries which we will witness going forward to our trek. We’ll commence our exploration from Kathmandu, riding to Syapur Besi, where we begin our hike.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syapurbesi. (6-7 hours)

Today after the tasty breakfast, we will ride from Kathmandu to Syapurbesi. It is the commencing spot of our journey. It will take some 6-7 hours to reach here. The drive gives us a lovely panoramic vision of the hills, terrains, settlements, and fast-moving Trishuli River.

Day 3: A scenic trek from Syapurbesi to Lama Hotel. (5-6 hours)

The trek starts up at dawn after breakfast through the forest track. The ascent is uphill and sheer at some steps. We will hike through the Bamboo woods until we arrive at Lama Hotel. We will be staying there overnight.

Day 4: Trek from Lama Hotel to Mundu / Langtang Valley

We’ll relish a purely fun hike as we arrive and walk through the Langtang valley National Park. The path passes through Rhododendron and alpine woodlands, waterfalls, and spectacular routes. There’s a slight possibility we might discover a Red Panda. We’ll trek through the magnificent settlement of Langtang to transcend the Mundu village in Langtang valley.

We’ll spend the darkness in the lodge.

Day 5: Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa

After a tasty, fulfilling breakfast, We’ll hike to the Kyanjin Gompa today. The watermills, Buddhist tombs, Prayer wheels, and Mani flags are items we cross on our journey. We will also join the Gompa and its surroundings for acclimatization (organize ourselves to adapt without difficulties at an elevated altitude) as we are climbing uphill to Tsergo Ri the next day.

Overnight in the lodge of Kyajin Gompa.

Day 6: Trek to Tserko Ri and back to Kyanjin Gompa

Today the ascent is a bit tough because of the altitude and the uphill trail. But, the views are worth all the effort. The panoramic scenery of the Yalasummit (5520 meters), Langtang Ri (7205 meters), Langtang Lirung (7227 meters), and Naya Khang (5844 meters) are breathtaking.

We’ll decline downhill to Kyanjin Gompa to spend the night.

Day 7: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama hotel

Commence your beautiful day with a tasty morning meal. From Lama Hotel we’ll hike via Pairobesi taking a steep uphill climb to the Tamang settlement of Thulosyarbu. The Thulosyarbu village, located at the top of a ridge, gives bewitching views of the Himalayan range.
