Nepal Visa Regulations
Like every other country in the world, Nepal has its visa regulations. A foreigner traveling to Nepal has to follow the guidelines drawn by the Nepal government. The visa regulations are available for various purposes in Nepal, such as:

The Department of Immigration handles the visa regulations in Nepal. Every tourist entering the Nepal border should be following the specific rules of the government.
Tourist Visa
The tourists entering Nepal are bound to follow the tourist visa rules as prescribed by the government. In Nepal, the visa is obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. One is considered illegal and criminal if not followed the rules and visa regulations in Nepal. Specific visa fees are fixed for the number of days you are staying in Nepal. Here are some of the visa requirements:
- Your valid passport with a clear passport-size photograph
- You will have to pay for the visa through cash payment only in the following currencies: US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Pound Sterling, Japanese Yen, Canadian Dollar, Euro, Swiss Franc, and Singapore Dollar.
- Nepali Currency, Indian Currency, and Credit cards will not be acceptable for the payment of visa fees.
- Children below the age of 10 are exempted from visa fees.
A tourist can stay in Nepal for a maximum of 150 days during the visa year from January 1st to December 31st. If a tourist wants to extend their visa, they should be applying for other visas by contacting with Department of Immigration online or by meeting them (Kalikasthan, Kathmandu). Tourists are requested to convert their Currency into rupees (Nepalese Currency) for any expense in Nepal as no foreign currencies are accepted in the market or hotels.
