Everest Helicopter Tour Introduction

One of the main highlights of Nepal that attract tourists is Mount Everest. The highest peak in the world is Mount Everest (8848.86m), also known as Sagarmatha in Nepali.

Mount Everest is located on the border between Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Climbing to the top of Mt. Everest is the dream of every climber and trekker. Every year many international tourists visit Nepal to climb Everest. Whenever foreigners listen to the word Nepal, they automatically say the country with Mount Everest.
Everest Heli tour has been packaged for those tourists who want a close view of Everest without trekking and difficulties. The Everest Base Camp tour starts from Kathmandu. You will have your breakfast early in the morning, and we will begin our helicopter ride. Firstly we will fly to Lukla airport from TIA. Then we will fly to Kala Patthar for the perfect view of Mt. Everest. We will then fly to Everest View Hotel for breakfast with excellent views. Finally, we will descend to Kathmandu following the same route.

One of the main highlights of this tour is the aerial view. Everything from the top gives you 360-degree views. Not only Mount Everest, but you can get a remarkable view of other mountain ranges, landscapes, green hills, rivers, etc. The Heli tour is luxurious as well as time-saving. Outline Itinerary

  • 6:00 AM: Drive to TIA
  • 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM: Fly to Lukla
  • 8:00 am – 8:15 am: Flight Refueling
  • 8:15 AM – 8:40 AM: Fly to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar (5450m)
  • 8:40 AM– 8:50 AM: Explore around Kalapatthar
  • 8:50 AM – 9:30 AM: Fly to Everest View Hotel (3950m)
  • 9:30 - 10:00 AM: Fly back to Lukla
  • 10:00 AM – 11 AM: Descend towards Kathmandu

Detailed Itinerary

6:00 AM: Drive to TIA

After having an early morning breakfast, we will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport. Then we will prepare for your helicopter journey. You will pass through the domestic terminals and after the inspections of documents and tickets.

7:00 AM - 7:45 AM: Fly to Lukla

At 7 AM we will be flying to Lukla (2845m). It will take us around 45 minutes to reach Lukla from Kathmandu. You will pass along the beautiful view of Kathmandu valley, rhododendron forest, rivers, etc.

8:00 am – 8:15 am: Flight Refueling

We will take a 15-minute break to refuel the helicopter at Tenzing Hilary Airport and continue the journey.

8:15 AM – 8:40 AM: Fly to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar (5450m)

We will fly to Kala Patthar where you will see the change in topography. The helicopter will be flying over Namche Bazaar.
You will be able to enjoy the flattering mountain peak, Ama Dablam. We will reach the base camp in 35 minutes.

8:40 AM– 8:50 AM: Explore around Kalapatthar

You can enjoy the 360-degree view of the mountain along with Pumori, Lhotse, etc. You can take photos and videos for your memories. Many trekkers come to Kala Patthar for the perfect view of Mount Everest and Khumbu Icefall. Standing there you will feel heaven on earth. The place makes you feel like there is no sky above you.

8:50 AM – 9:30 AM: Fly to Everest View Hotel (3950m)

Leaving Kalapatthar, we will fly to Everest View Hotel. It is the world’s highest-situated hotel. You will be enjoying a delicious breakfast with the most spectacular view ever. From here you can view the Khumbu Ice Fall, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Everest, etc.

9:30 - 10:00 AM: Fly back to Lukla

After finishing breakfast at the Everest View Hotel, we will fly to Lukla airport and take a short period for refueling and proceed toward Kathmandu.

10:00 AM – 11 AM: Descend towards Kathmandu

In the same way, our helicopter will return us to Kathmandu valley. You will enjoy the beautiful view from the helicopter. It will take us 45 minutes to reach Kathmandu. Our representative will be waiting with a vehicle at TIA and take you to the hotel to rest.
