Annapurna Circuit Trek Introduction

Thorong La Pass trek is also famous as Annapurna Circuit Trek. Thorang La pass trek is considered one of the best trekking destinations in Nepal. This trek leads you to explore the fantastic landscapes of the Southern and Northern Himalayas.

Thorong La pass is situated north of Annapurna Mountain range between Manang towards the east and Muktinath towards the west. It is considered one of the best highest passes in the world, around 5,416 meters. The pass provides you with a spectacular view of Fishtail, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Dhaulagiri, Mt Manaslu, Annapurna IV, and many more. You will be delighted to visit the famous temple having religious importance among Hindus, the Muktinath Temple.

The trek begins from Syange and ends at Jomsom. During the journey, you will be enjoying the panoramic view of mountains and glaciers. There are many monasteries on the way which can be visited. You will have a great experience with the locals and learn their culture and tradition. The trekkers also love the local food in this region.

The itinerary packages are made considering the comfort of the trekkers. Mostly you will be staying in tea houses throughout the trek.

Although trekking in this region is available in all seasons, the best trekking in this pass is from March to May and September to November. During December and January, the area is covered in snow which may create difficulty in trekking. You may not be able to trek in this area independently like in Everest base camp; it would be best if you consider taking a guide with you. The trek is not so challenging; there are 5 to 6 hours of the tour on average per day.
