Annapurna Circuit Trek Introduction
Thorong La Pass trek is also famous as Annapurna Circuit Trek. Thorang La pass trek is considered one of the best trekking destinations in Nepal. This trek leads you to explore the fantastic landscapes of the Southern and Northern Himalayas.
Thorong La pass is situated north of Annapurna Mountain range between Manang towards the east and Muktinath towards the west. It is considered one of the best highest passes in the world, around 5,416 meters. The pass provides you with a spectacular view of Fishtail, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Dhaulagiri, Mt Manaslu, Annapurna IV, and many more. You will be delighted to visit the famous temple having religious importance among Hindus, the Muktinath Temple.
The trek begins from Syange and ends at Jomsom. During the journey, you will be enjoying the panoramic view of mountains and glaciers. There are many monasteries on the way which can be visited. You will have a great experience with the locals and learn their culture and tradition. The trekkers also love the local food in this region.
The itinerary packages are made considering the comfort of the trekkers. Mostly you will be staying in tea houses throughout the trek.
Although trekking in this region is available in all seasons, the best trekking in this pass is from March to May and September to November. During December and January, the area is covered in snow which may create difficulty in trekking. You may not be able to trek in this area independently like in Everest base camp; it would be best if you consider taking a guide with you. The trek is not so challenging; there are 5 to 6 hours of the tour on average per day.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu(1400m)
As soon as you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will see our representative waiting for you at the gate. He will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. You can rest in the hotel or sightsee some of the nearby heritages of Kathmandu valley. In the evening, we will be organizing a warm welcome dinner and discussing the trekking routes. Overnight stay in a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Drive to Syange (1100) via Besisahar (830m)
Trek Duration: 8 hrs
Early in the morning, we will pick you up for the drive to Syange. We will be traveling by bus or jeep. It will take us around 8 hours to reach Syange. If you choose private transportation, you will directly go to Syange, or we should be changing the bus from Besisahar. The bus route passes from Trishuli River. Throughout the way, you can enjoy beautiful mountain views and nearby villages. Overnight stay in a tea house at Syange.
Day 03: Trek from Syange to Tal (1700m)
Trek Duration: 5 hrs
After having breakfast, we will commence the trek from Syange. The route passes following the surface of the Marshyangdi River, which is swift-flowing and beautiful. As we enter the Manang region, the landscapes start to change. You will spot various waterfalls on the way. Trekking for 5 hours, we will reach Tal. Overnight stay in a tea house in Tal.
Day 04: Trek from Tal to Danaque (1860m)
Trek Duration: 5 hrs
Leaving Tal, we will head towards Danaque. We will be entering a wide and flat valley today. You will get to see the way of living in the rural area. Walking ahead, you will see the mesmerizing views of Pisang and Annapurna II, which will add glory to the journey. Walking for 5 hours, you will reach Danaque, which will be the place for the night.
Day 05: Trek from Danaque to Chame (2670m)
Trek Duration: 4 to 5 hrs
Today we will be heading towards Chame, which is the headquarters of the Manang district. Since it is the headquarters area, you will find suitable accommodation here in comparison to other regions. Today is a short trek of 4 to 5 hours, so you will have spare time to explore the village area. There is also a hot spring a little far from the town. Overnight stay in Chame.
Day 06: Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3300m)
Trek Duration: 6 hrs
After having morning breakfast, we will continue the journey and head towards Upper Pisang. We will pass through the dense forest and enter the narrow valley along with the bank of the Marshyangdi River. On the way, you will enjoy the views of cultivated land and mountain peaks. After finishing the 6 hours of trek, we will reach Upper Pisang. Here you can visit monasteries as well. Overnight stay in Upper Pisang.
Day 07: Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang (3500m)
Trek Duration: 6 hrs
Leaving Upper Pisang, we will head towards Manang. Manang is one of the popular tourist destinations in Nepal. On the way to Manang, you will pass through large hills and jungle. You will see some monasteries and also spot the Lama school passing by. Manang is a large village populated mainly by Gurung community people. After walking for 6 hours, you will reach Manang. Overnight stay in Manang.
Day 08: Acclimatization Day
Today you will spend the entire day acclimatizing to Manang village. Firstly you will have a warm local breakfast and take a walk in the town. Here are many monasteries with different histories and importance, and we will be visiting them. We will also take a look at the Gangapurna Glacier Lake. Overnight stay in a tea house in Manang.
Day 09: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4000m)
Trek Duration: 5 to 6 hrs
After having breakfast, we will continue the steps towards Yak Kharka. The route includes a climb through Tenki and leaves the Marshyangdi Valley behind. The path passes through Jarsang Khola Valley. After 5 to 6 hours of trek, we will reach Yak Kharka. Overnight stay in Yak Kharka.
Day 10: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4450m)
Trek Duration: 5 hrs
Continuing the trail, we will ascend for 2 hours. Then we descend and cross the river and reach a point where we start climbing to the Thorong Phedi, situated at an altitude of 4450m. We will spend the night at a tea house in Thorong Phedi
Day 11: Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3800m), passing through Thorong La Pass (5416m)
Trek Duration: 8-9 hrs
Today we will leave early in the morning as we have a long journey to cover. Today we are climbing steeply, which is not a very difficult part. Since we are turning our steps towards the highest altitude of the trek, it will be windy, and snowfall may appear as well. It will take us 4 hours of the climb to reach the top of the pass, where you get a breathtaking view. From the key, it will take us four more hours to reach Muktinath. Here you can visit the holy temple Muktinath which has enormous importance in Hindu pilgrimage.
Day 12: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2700m)
Trek Duration: 4 hrs
After an early breakfast, we will pass along the Kali Gandaki Gorge (the deepest gorge in the world). We will visit Jharkot village and the oldest monastery. After 4 to 5 hours of trek, we will reach Jomsom. Here you can explore the old museum which is located at the top of the village. Overnight stay in a tea house in Jomsom.
Day 13: Flight to Pokhara (25 minutes)
After having breakfast, we will take a stunning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. It is a short flight. After arriving in Pokhara, we will transfer you to a lakeside hotel for the perfect view. You will have sightseeing in Pokhara, which is an excellent spot for tourists. You can go boating in Phewa Lake and visit the Devis Fall and Gupteswor Cave. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu
We will finally descend to Kathmandu by local bus. It will take around 6 to 7 hours to reach Kathmandu. The route is full of scenic views of green hills and rivers. After we reach Kathmandu, we will transfer you to the hotel. You can rest and also have a quick shopping in the Thamel area. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 15: Departure
Our representative will help you to reach TIA according to your flight time. If you want to extend your journey and continue trekking in Nepal, we will serve you.
