Kathmandu- Chitwan and Pokhara Tour Introduction
The Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara tour allows you to visit the major three popular tourist destinations in Nepal. In this tour, you’ll be able to explore the heritage, cultural and traditional aspects, natural vegetation, bio-diversity, and natural beauty of the tiny Himalayan nation.
The tour begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, exploring the cultural, religious, and heritage aspects of the city, and then driving to Chitwan, where we’ll explore the nature, vegetation, flora, fauna, wildlife, and the local traditions. From Chitwan, we’ll drive to Pokhara (often referred to as the city of Lakes) where we’ll witness the natural beauty of the snow-capped mountains, lakes, and religious sites.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu(1,350m/4,428 ft.) and half day sightseeing.
The Airport representative/ Guide will be there at the airport to receive you holding a placard with your name. You can see him once you come out of the Arrival terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport.
While driving to the hotel, we’ll visit the temple of Pashupatinath which is only 2.6kms away from the Airport. It is the most sacred pilgrimage of the Hindus all over the world. From Pasupatinath, we’ll drive to Bouddhanath which is only 1.7kms away from Pasupatinath. Bouddhanath is one of the most sacred pilgrimages to Buddhists around the world, especially Southeast Asians.
Day 2: Drive to Chitwan(415m) from Kathmandu(1,350m/4,428 ft.).
We’ll drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan in a private vehicle.
Chitwan is 175kms south west from Kathmandu and requires a 6-7 hours drive to reach. We’ll stay in a hotel at Sauraha, which is near the Chitwan national park. You can explore the communities around, Tharu villages, Tharu cultural shows, and Meals in the evening.
Stay overnight in Chitwan.
Day 3: Explore Chitwan national park and participate in Jungle activities.
The Chitwan national park is very rich in terms of biodiversity, vegetation, wildlife, flora, and fauna.
It is among the top destinations for wildlife and biology researchers. Today, we’ll involve ourselves in Canoeing, Jungle safari, Jungle walk, and visit the Elephant Breeding Center in the National park. The national park is famous for Bengal tigers, one-horned Rhinos, Wild boars, four-horned Antelopes, Wild Elephants, and various species of birds, insects, and reptiles that are rare in the world.
Stay Overnight in Chitwan.
Day 4: Drive to Pokhara(827 m/2,713ft). from Chitwan(415m)
Pokhara is 145kms North West of Chitwan and takes a 4-5 hour drive to reach Pokhara.
In the evening, we can enjoy walking along the lakeside and enjoying the sunset in Pokhara valley over the mountains, reflecting in the water of Phewa Lake. You’ll love the local Thakali dining, the traditionally elaborated menu of the Nepalese national meal.
Stay overnight in Pokhara.
Day 5: Explore the attractions of Pokhara city(827 m/2,713ft).
Today, we’ll visit the Taal Barahi temple amid the Phewa Lake, enjoy boat riding, visit the World Peace Stupa, Brindabasini temple, David falls, and Gupteshor Mahadev temple, Mahendra cave, and Bat cave. Pokhara is also known to be the Tourist capital of the country and the entrance to the Annapurnas.
Stay overnight in Pokhara.
Day 6: Drive to Kathmandu(1,350m/4,428 ft.) from Pokhara(827 m/2,713ft).
We’ll drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.
The journey takes 7-8 hours and is 200kms far in distance. You can explore the local markets, buy souvenirs and enjoy local shopping in the evening.
Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 7: Sightseeing in Kathmandu(1,350m/4,428 ft.) and Final departure.
Today is our last day in Kathmandu and we’ll visit Basantapur Durbar square and Patan Durbar square before we head to the airport for our final departure. Patan and Basantapur durbar square depicts the rich architecture, culture, and traditions during the Malla period of Nepal. After our sightseeing, we’ll drive to the airport for our departure from Nepal.
