Mohare Danda Trek Introduction

Mohare Danda lies in the Annapurna trekking region. This hilltop lies near the famous trekking destination that is Poon Hill. Mohare Danda is a new trekking route by the local community people. Since it is a new trekking route, it is not as popular as the other trails. This trek is said to be the best Community Lodge Trekking Trail. This trek is also called as Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community Trek. This is the best short trek from Pokhara.
This trek takes you up to 3300m above sea level. Mohare Danda Trek offers you a panoramic view of the Manaslu, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges. A few percentages of profit from the trek to this region go to the social development fund for this region which means your trek will indirectly be helping the community people. The green hills on the way will give you a peaceful walk to the destination. The interaction with the locals will get you information about their cultures and specialties. You will get to see the glorious sunrise over the mountains like never before.
The trekkers who have a short period and want to capture the natural beauty and mountains prefer these trekking routes. This trekking route can be suitable for beginners as well.
The trail passes through the Trishuli and Kali Gandaki rivers. Since our trail passes through Pokhara you will also get a short visit to famous places in Pokhara.
The route offers you magical mountain views and beautiful landscapes. From the Mohare Danda, you will see many mountain ranges including Nilgiri and Tukuche peaks. Visiting this place during spring would be more suitable.

  • Day 7: Trek from Danda Kharka to Tilkot (2300m)
  • Day 8: Trek from Tilkot to Tipland and drive back to Pokhara (930m)
  • Day 9: Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1338m)
  • Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After you arrive in TIA, our representative will be waiting for you to guide you through the streets of Kathmandu and reach your selected hotel. In the evening you can roam the local areas nearby the hotel and the heritages.
You can go through the maps and outlines of the trip at the night.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (970m)

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and take a drive of 6 hrs to Pokhara. We will have half of the day to visit the places of Pokhara. We will do boating in Phewa Lake and visit nearby places. We will spend the night in a lakeside hotel enjoying the night view.

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Galeshwor and trek to Bas Kharka (1525m)

We will take a drive to Galeshwor which will take us 3-4 hr. we will have our lunch at Galeshwor and begin our walk to Bas Kharka. The route is mostly uphill, we will cross the bridge over the deepest river-Kali Gandaki river, and reach Bas Kharka.

Day 4: Trek from Bas Kharka to Nangi (2300m)

We will continue the walk after having breakfast. We will have to walk around 6 to 7 hours to reach the Nangi village. On the way, we will get amazing mountain and landscape views. We will also visit the organic farm school and reach Nangi. Overnight in a guesthouse at Nangi village.

Day 5: Trek from Nangi to Moahare Danda (3300)

After finishing breakfast, we will walk towards the destination of the journey-Mohare Danda. The routes pass through the rhododendron and oak forests with a view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. In the evening, we will view the sunset from the Mohare Danda. Overnight in a tea house at Mohare Danda.

Day 6: Trek from Mohare Danda to Danda Kharka (2800m)

In the morning, we will view the beautiful sunrise over the mountains. Continuing the trail, we will head towards Danda Kharka walking for 6 to 7 hrs. You will see Dhaulagiri, Machapuchhre, Annapurna South, and many more mountains in the background. Overnight in Danda Kharka.

Day 7: Trek from Danda Kharka to Tilkot (2300m)

Descending the trail, we will head towards Tilkot passing through forests and local villages. We will be viewing beautiful mountains all over the way. Walking for 4-5 hrs, we will reach Tilkot. We will spend the night in a tea house at Tilkot.

Day 8: Trek from Tilkot to Tipland and drive back to Pokhara (930m)

As usual, we will start the morning with breakfast and end the trek today at Tiplang. The van will be waiting for us at Tiplang. We will take a drive to Pokhara and enjoy the evening at the lakeside enjoying the view. Overnight at a hotel in the lakeside.

Day 9: Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1338m)

We will have our breakfast at the lakeside restaurant and then take a flight back to Kathmandu from Pokhara airport. After reaching Kathmandu, we will drop you at your hotel and you can enjoy your leisure day resting or sightseeing at Kathmandu heritages.

Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu

Our representative will help you reach TIA by arranging a farewell lunch in a typical Nepali style and help you at the airport to fly you back to your place. In case you want further trips to Nepal, you can inform us, we will arrange it for you as per your comfort.
