The trekking is... read more heavy (much more than I imagined) and prior preparation is required, but despite the difficulty it was wonderful to spend 14 days in the middle of the Himalayas. Nepal Hiking Team agency was perfect from start to finish, all our demands were met. Our family members needed to return before the end (they used the World Nomads insurance that sent a helicopter) and the agency organized all the bureaucracy, we didn't bother with anything. Our guide NARAYAN was more than perfect, he was not just a guide, but a friend, a travel companion. Super sweet, polite, he knew everything there, he was the best guide I've ever had considering all the trips I've done. Porters were also amazing! I strongly recommend the agency, I saw many people who did it on their own and had health problems and had difficulty in claiming insurance. There I realized that it is very common to have to change itinerary or even return earlier, and having an agency that organizes everything for you is essential. I came back extremely satisfied with having chosen Nepal Hiking Team.

Every element of the trip was excellently organised, many thanks to Ganga, who was also incredibly responsive to any queries we had throughout. As our two team members on the trek, Gokul our guide and Sudeep our porter did an outstanding job and we cannot thank them enough for the effort they put into our tour, without them our trip most certainly would not have been the same.

Not only was Gokul rich in knowledge about Nepal, he was also a brilliant leader and we enjoyed his company enormously. Sudeep did an outstanding job carrying our bags and was so much fun to be around. However, we would recommend for any future trekkers that you take the absolute minimum with you. Above all we cannot fault our trek or NHT and would highly recommend them for anyone looking to go walking in the Himalayas!!

Our guide was so knowledgeable about the area and was very organised with getting... read more us the best rooms in each spot ahead of time, giving us advice to cope with high altitude, cold and best foods to eat, brought crampons for us (which we definitely needed!) and even looked after some friends we made on the trek as well for the Thorong La crossing. He also gave us many insights into Buddhism and Hindu festivals and practices which we observed along the way. Tuk was also fabulous and was a welcome smiling face at the end of each day and great company overall. The company made sure we had very comfortable accommodation at the Woodapple Hotel as well on either end and in Pokhara.

If you are a fit and experienced hiker you might find it a little slow at first but it is all worth it when it means you can get over the pass easily later on.

We got it all really; the madness of the city, the paradise of the mountains, the exciting flight to Lukla, hot sun, deep snow, breathtaking views, Sherpa culture, Yaks, homebrew, monks, monasteries, peaks & pubs....hard to beat! Guide & porter were great. Ram our guide seemed to know everyone along the way and was a good laugh to be with. We watched Hari out porter carrying half his bodyweight out of the tea-house every morning but he kept smiling which helped with the guilty feeling! There is some hardship involved with the altitude & facilities available but that's all part of the experience. Have to also mention that the aftercare we received from Glorious was great...we weren't really expecting any. They organized everything we needed afterwards including COVID tests and in a place like Kathmandu any help you can get is worth taking! All in all...brilliant!

The weather in early September is still a bit iffy but the trade off is quiet trails all to yourself. Nepal Hiking Team made this a great experience, I can’t wait to return for a different trek with them.
