We see lots of teams going up and down, and don’t think any seemed as chilled and happy as ours were.

This was my first trip to Nepal and additionally my first ever... read more muli-day trek. Annapurna Base Camp Trek became a dream of mine about a year ago after my adult son made a trip out back in 2019. Nepal Hiking Team made the trip much more enjoyable by facilitating rides to and from the airport in Kathmandu, answering any questions or concerns promptly and being courteous and helpful. Of course I have to give a shout out to my guide for the ABC trek Dipendra and also the porter Gakul!!! Dipendra did an exceptional job of making the trip as smooth as can be expected! In every village he booked me the best room available with mountain views, helped with ordering food and making sure I was comfortable. On the trail Dipendra carefully monitored my condition and frequently checked in with how I was feeling. As it turned out I was able to keep a pretty good pace (I'm a 56 year old man in decent shape) and we arrived at Annapurna Base Camp a day ahead of schedule (which was fortunate because clouds moved in the next day). Gakul was very strong and always made sure my duffle bag was in my room when we arrived in the next village. Dipendra and Gakul also made the evening time fun by inviting me to play card games in the tea house common area. If you get a chance learn the game Dumbal - it's fun! Dipendra also guided me in Pokhara where we saw the peace pagoda, Hindu temple caves and the International Mountaineering Museum. In conclusion, Ganga, Dipendra and Gakul with Nepal Hiking Team provided excellent service worth every dollar. I will definitely use their services again when I return. I'm already thinking about Everest Base Camp or Manaslu Circuit!

Our guide Sanjay was very attentive throughout the trip and kind of customized our trip to our needs and liking. He was also very funny, and we could often hear him laughing while staying at the tea houses along the way.

Our porter was always around the corner or ahead of us, ensuring our bags always arrived on time.

This is the experience of a lifetime. Be prepared for the beauty around every corner, incredibly hospitable and warm people, and amazing food. I highly recommend Glorious Eco Trek if you want a trek to Everest Base Camp that will leave you with an experience that is better than you could have ever imagined.

After having done Everest Base Camp and the Ghorepani-Poon Hill trek previously, I chose the less busy region of Langtang valley this time. Nepal Hiking Team prepared a custom 8-day-trek (plus 2 days of driving) in the Langtang valley and including Gosaikunda lake.
My trekking guide Deepak and my porter Rajesh were both very friendly and spoke English well. My guide seemed very knowledgeable of the area and made some small adjustments of the itinerary on the fly (like staying at another village when we arrived at our planned destination early, to make the next day easier). He always made sure I get the best possible room in every guesthouse and I often even had a private bathroom attached to my room. The food on the trek was also very good everywhere.
I have previously trekked in October in Nepal and I was a bit worried that December would be very cold. After having done the trek, I can now say that those worries were not necessary. I actually did not feel like it was colder than in October at all. It was cold at night and in the morning before the sun came up, but that was the same in October. As soon as the sun came out, it was always pretty warm and I had to peel back my layers quite quickly. There was also no snow except for the last few hundred meters before the highest point of the trek. This was also the most challenging part, because the path was quite icy, but it was manageable. The rest of the trek was not difficult for me technically. If you have hiked in the mountains before, you will be fine.
I can fully recommend Nepal Hiking Team for all trekking in Nepal and I will definitely book again with them the next time I will be in the country.

As for the hike for our 5 days expedition in the mountain, do expect really cold weather in December as there are no heaters in the room. Temperature ranges from 0 to 10 degree Celsius in the day time and -5 to 0 degree Celsius in the night time (bearable with sleeping bag and blankets provided).

The guide (Bishma) and porter (Sabin) services provided is good where they tend to your every needs.
