They arrange absolutely everything, making a trip that could be very stress inducing as relaxing as possible (even considering your trekking and pushing yourself to the limit for 12 days).

When on the mountain our guides and porters were attentive to our every need and concerns. Always making sure that we were safe, well fed and having a fun time. As we got higher in altitude, the guide ensured that our health was still in tip top shape.

When I had to be emergency helivaced from Lobuche the communication between the guide, porters, Nepal hiking team organisers, our Australian ambassador and family was superb. The company escorted me to the hospital, making sure that would receive the best treatment possible, then arranged further accommodation for when I was discharged. I couldn't thank the Nepal hiking team enough for taking care of me when I needed it the most.

This was my first trip to Nepal and additionally my first ever... read more muli-day trek. Annapurna Base Camp Trek became a dream of mine about a year ago after my adult son made a trip out back in 2019. Nepal Hiking Team made the trip much more enjoyable by facilitating rides to and from the airport in Kathmandu, answering any questions or concerns promptly and being courteous and helpful. Of course I have to give a shout out to my guide for the ABC trek Dipendra and also the porter Gakul!!! Dipendra did an exceptional job of making the trip as smooth as can be expected! In every village he booked me the best room available with mountain views, helped with ordering food and making sure I was comfortable. On the trail Dipendra carefully monitored my condition and frequently checked in with how I was feeling. As it turned out I was able to keep a pretty good pace (I'm a 56 year old man in decent shape) and we arrived at Annapurna Base Camp a day ahead of schedule (which was fortunate because clouds moved in the next day). Gakul was very strong and always made sure my duffle bag was in my room when we arrived in the next village. Dipendra and Gakul also made the evening time fun by inviting me to play card games in the tea house common area. If you get a chance learn the game Dumbal - it's fun! Dipendra also guided me in Pokhara where we saw the peace pagoda, Hindu temple caves and the International Mountaineering Museum. In conclusion, Ganga, Dipendra and Gakul with Nepal Hiking Team provided excellent service worth every dollar. I will definitely use their services again when I return. I'm already thinking about Everest Base Camp or Manaslu Circuit!

Our guide, Ishwor Subedi, recognized us at once when we arrived in the small Pokhara airport as Nepal Hiking Team agency had previously sent a photo from us. He was very helpul from the beginning to the end with wise advice on the comparative advantages of the guesthouses on the way...He also has a sense of humor, which has allowed us to do the long walks more easily.

Ganga, who manages Nepal Hiking Team with his brother, provided a good package deal, including 2 nights in Woodapple Tree and Spa Hotel in Kathmandu.

We also don’t have enough superlatives for our guide, Narayan. He was always smiling, no matter how out of breath we were. Every night he would prepare some pomegranate seeds and apple for us that he carried with him the whole way up (and down). When my knee was agiving me some grief on the way back down, he quickly offered me his stick and some Tiger Balm. My partner and I think he might possibly the nicest man we’ve ever met and it was a pleasure trekking with him.

In terms of the Langtang Valley trek itself, we (23M & 22F) found the trek suitably challenging but also very do-able. We’d been on the beaches of Sri Lanka and India for 2 months beforehand so found ourselves with little fitness to fall back on. My knee did cause me some issues on the descent back down, but this was probably due to our overly confident quicker pace. From our experience, the trek is appropriate for most people. We met trekkers of all ages in Langtang and though the path/steps were steep in some places we never felt unsafe.

The trek is fairly off the beaten track and some of the accommodation reflected this (squat loos, scarce wifi/signal & hot water) but Narayan was quick to find us the best guest house. The views from the second day onwards though were stunning and like nothing we’d ever seen before.

Our experience was one we’ll never forget and we’re incredibly grateful to Ganga, Narayan, and our porter for taking care of us. I would absolutely recommend Nepal Hiking Team for anyone wanting to experience hiking in the Himalayas, they are #1 on TripAdvisor for good reason!
