My guide for the trek was Dhurba. He did a superb 5-star job, allowing me to keep my own pace but also keeping me on schedule. He was very knowledgeable and was able to provide insights on the trek I would have missed out on had I chosen to truly trek solo. Towards the end of the trek I did not feel well from the altitude, and Dhurba made sure I had whatever I needed to feel better. He truly cared and wanted to see me succeed. I felt that I not only had a guide, but made a friend along the way.

Even though it was not initially part of our coordinated plans, Ganga was so kind as to arrange a driver to transport me from my hotel to the airport when I left Kathmandu free of charge.

I was traveling solo and had practically booked my tickets to Kathmandu one day before leaving, purely based on the confidence and reassurance of Ganga - all arrangements were seamless and made right from the moment I landed in Kathmandu. Monsoons are a tricky time to do the circuit, but it offers a different kind of charm and the routes are practically empty, you would be able to experience the magic of the mountains practically alone and it's immensely peaceful. The tea-house towns are empty and you get the pick of the rooms. Nepal Hiking Team arranged for the best tea-houses in every town we stayed in, had the luxury of getting rooms with the best view and attached bathrooms throughout.

I did several chopping and changes to the itinerary to fancy my whims, Ganga and his team were always available and accomodative in the best way possible. Stayed back in Manang for four days and to visit off route Milarepa's Cave and explore the villages before returning to Pokhara and Kathmandu for extended stays. They made both stays extremely well facilitated in extremely good hotels.

A special mention to the Gokarna and Uttam, the boys who shadowed me throughout the trek, looking out for very comfort and helping navigate the tricky monsoon weather and terrain. They're also mini Tik Tok celebrities in their own right and will keep you entertained with their antics.

Nepal has a lot to discover, but if you are looking for a solid foothold to start your voyage, don't think twice before getting in touch with Ganga and team.

Their help and support was beyond what can be described using the language, but I will try. I have a paternal type surreal feeling while enjoying their support. It felt as five young people were keeping a keen eye on six adults like a mother watching her young child all the time! Their observation was such that many times they could guess what we need or what they can help us with, much before we have to ask for it. I still can not get this in my head that one gentleman carried a box of fresh fruits to EBC so we can have balanced diet while on the trek! I know behind all this orchestration was the effort of Sh. Ganga Ji, who made all the arrangements. So a big thanks to him also. On the way all the accommodations (tea houses) were great. Food was excellent and even the service was quite prompt. I went to Nepal with the thought that it is the place which is only appropriate for me to go as hiker, but after the great experience I returned with desire to come back with the family.
