Sikles Trek Introduction
One of the shortest trekking destinations in Nepal is Sikles. Sikles trek lies in the Kaski district and is a famous trekking route among trekkers. Sikles is a charming village that leads you to beautiful mountain views, terraced lands, and high alpine meadows. It is one of the alternative short treks in the Annapurna region. This trek also includes camping which will give us adventurous vibes. The routes are full of blooming rhododendrons and the chirping of birds.
This trail is famous as Prince Charles had a trek through this area in 1980. You can enjoy the view of Annapurna II (7937m) and Annapurna IV (7525m).
The trail passes through Gurung village to learn about the Gurung community’s traditions and way of life. The trail passes through Gurung village, where one can acknowledge the practice and lifestyle of the Gurung community. You can also visit the Rishi Danda, from where you will get a perfect viewpoint of the fantastic mountain views.
Along with Mt. Annapurna, we will get a view of Lamjung, Manaslu, and more. The trail will reach up to 2000m above sea level, so there won’t be any altitude problems. The trail passes through ancient gompas and also passes through Madi Khola. You will mainly see the houses built up of mud and rocks.
Since the trail passes through Pokhara, we will have a short time to capture the beautiful places in Pokhara. The trek offers you an unspoiled nature to explore. This trek can be suitable for those trekkers in Nepal for a short period and can be ideal for beginners. The Gurung village is one of the highlights of this trip with authentic cultures. The paths are full of dense pine forests, and if you are lucky enough, you will also see some rare species and animals.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After you arrive at TIA, our representative will meet you and accompany you through the streets of Kathmandu to your chosen place. You can explore the local areas and heritage sites near the hotel in the evening if you want. At night, you can look over the maps and itineraries for the trip.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (827m)
After finishing your breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and drive you 7 hrs to Pokhara. We will reach Pokhara in mid-day, so we will enjoy the rest of the Day visiting Phewa Taal and possibly nearby places. Overnight in a lakeside hotel.
Day 3: Trek from Pokhara to Ghale Kharka (1669m)
We will first drive to Mahendra Cave and begin our trek; this is a motorway. On the way, you will see typical Gurung and Magar villages. These villages are famous for the furious and loyal armies who work for the British Army. We will enjoy the trek with beautiful mountain views and local people around us. We will spend the night in Ghale Kharka.
Day 4: Trek from Ghale Kharka to Sikles (1980m)
After finishing breakfast, we will continue our trail towards Sikles. The course goes uphill today. It is a very scenic route that offers excellent mountain views along with village views. After Poon Hill, Sickle is said to be the most famous village in the Annapurna region. You will get a panoramic view of snow-capped mountains. We will spend the night with the views of a local tea house at Sickle villages.
Day 5: Trek from Sikles to Taprang
We will continue the trail after breakfast and head towards Taprang. The route passes through the Gurung and Magar village, where you can observe the local lifestyle of the locals. We will pass through the pine forest with rhododendrons blooming. After we reach Taprang, we will get to our hotel for the night.
Day 6: Trek from Taprang to Pokhara via Yangjakot
We will continue the footsteps towards Yangjakot, walking for 4 to 5 hrs.
We will walk downhill from Yangjakot, following the Madi River. The trail passes through the forest at some point. We will have our lunch in Yangjankot and then take a short drive to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, we will utilize the leisure time to visit the Devis Fall. Overnight in the lakeside hotel.
Day 7: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu-7 hrs
We will have our morning breakfast and leave Pokhara. We will take a drive to Kathmandu, viewing beautiful landscapes, and green hills, and passing alongside the river. After reaching Kathmandu, we will drop you at your hotel, and you can spend the evening visiting nearby places in Kathmandu.
Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu
Our representative will assist you in getting to TIA by arranging a farewell lunch in the traditional Nepali style and will assist you in getting to the airport to catch a flight back to your location. If you want to go to Nepal again, please let us know, and we will make arrangements for you.
